About Martin
Alexandra Martin, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who delivers invaluable support to the team at Throgs Neck Multi Care, P.C. Alexandra provides exceptional services to people living in the Schuylerville district of the Bronx in New York City who have orthopedic injuries or degenerative musculoskeletal conditions.
Alexandra attended Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, graduating in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then pursued a master's degree in physician assistant studies at Mercy College in the Bronx, achieving her qualification in 2016. Alexandra started working as an intern with Louis Rose, MD, in 2009, shadowing him at Throgs Neck Multi Care P.C. as well as the hospital. She gained valuable experience observing and assisting with orthopedic procedures and interacting with patients throughout this time, and took up the position of physician assistant with Dr. Rose after completing her degree course.
Alexandra holds certificates in advanced cardiovascular life support and pediatric advanced life support, and a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) certificate for the National Incident Management System. She has board certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She has also been an active volunteer for health charities and organizations, including Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, the American Diabetes Association, and the Mercy College Mobile Health Vehicle.
At Throgs Neck Multi Care P.C., Alexandra performs a variety of essential duties that include providing pre-operative and post-operative care, taking medical histories, performing physical exams and diagnostic testing, conducting hospital rounds and consults, and being first assist to Dr. Rose during surgery.
